Itinerary
-
The Lower Lakes & Veliki Slap
Begin at the canyon's edge, where the park's tallest waterfall, 78 metres, thunders into the gorge. Boardwalks thread between pools so clear you can count the fish.
-
The Upper Lakes
A gentler world of forest pools and cascades, quieter and greener, with viewpoints that line up lake after lake into the distance. Optional electric boat and panoramic shuttle make it easy.
Some places earn the word “wonder.” Plitvice is one of them, a UNESCO World Heritage site where sixteen lakes spill into one another over natural travertine dams, their colour shifting from emerald to deep turquoise as the light moves. Wooden walkways carry you right across the water and beneath the falls. Because it’s a long, rewarding day, we leave Rovinj early at 08:00 and return around 17:00 (later by arrangement).
Your private driver handles every kilometre of the road so you arrive fresh, with the whole day to walk the trails at your own rhythm. Park entry and the optional boat and shuttle are easy to arrange, just ask, and we’ll plan the route that suits your group.
Plitvice is not a short transfer with a pretty stop; it is a full-day experience that deserves planning. The park changes with weather and season: spring brings powerful water, summer brings deep green shade, autumn adds colour, and winter can turn the lakes into something almost silent. Private transport gives you the important thing on a long day, control. You decide how early to leave, how much of the park to walk, whether to use the boat and shuttle, and how much time to leave for lunch or a pause after the trails.
We help you avoid the usual mistakes: arriving too late, choosing a route too long for the group, or underestimating the return drive. Families, couples and small groups all experience Plitvice differently, so the day is adjusted around your energy. The goal is simple: enough time in the national park to feel its scale, without turning the journey into exhaustion.
